| 英文描述 | True cowpox is caused by an ORTHOPOXVIRUS antigenically distinct from vaccinia and pseudocowpox and the reservoir hosts are thought to be wild rodents. Pox lesions are seen mainly on the teats. Rare. Dx by culture and immunologic identification of the virus. There is no specific treatment. Vaccinia virus could be used for vaccination, but this is not generally done. |
